January 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
Re: January 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
Cool layouts Pam and Jen
Jen I really like that look of the paper carrying over to a second page.
Pam, your spin on Jen's sketch is wonderful. You really made the sketch your own.

Re: January 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
I used the sketch again. Somehow, I've gotten out of the routine of two page layouts and I'm finding it a bit more difficult than I used to. I think they're similar enough to look okay - only have to please myself anyway, right?
These are from Ellensburg WA and I swear I took more photos that day. I need to go through my camera to see how many photos were never printed! The "story" was that we had such a short time to drive through the town - we need to go back and spend more time. I love towns with streets of locally owned shops.

Very nice, Pam. I love small towns like that. Usually som neon and interesting architecture.

Thanks Jen. I think it's even closer to Monica (Monica?). It felt so charming! Definitely thriving - probably because of the University. My assumption, anyway.ScrappinJen wrote:Very nice, Pam. I love small towns like that. Usually som neon and interesting architecture.

It's about 1/2 an hour away in good weather. This time of year I'd opt for the canyon road rather than going over Manastash, and it would likely take an hour or so.pamcook wrote:Thanks Jen. Re: January 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
Since Tuesday this has been bumping around in my brain, Finally got a chance to work on it yesterday, base paper is CS and the other papers and embellishments are Basic Grey Persimmon pack. This was NOT a great day... it was 90-something degrees in October and everyone was a bit cranky. Especially baby Kate and her daddy But it's a cool place just outside of town so it will be fun to go back when she's older!

Very nice, Nancy! I felt like that 2-photo space need to be a portrait photo. You really did a nice job!

Very nice layout, Nancy. These papers are great for the punkin patch. And the little punkin. Agree a single photo looks good there but I just can't make pages with few photos.
Re: January 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
They don't look cranky in the photos so I guess the photog knew how to work it!
Re: January 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
So far so good in keeping up with the sketch challenges! ...yeah, I know, it is only January
Re: January 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge

Re: January 2016 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
Oh gosh you guys...you've all been so industrious and creative!
Pam your kraft base paper is perfect for the feel of this old town. Love your clusters as always.
Nancy you hit the tone of that hot October day. Great papers and I see no crankiness in them. Darling of Kate and daddy.
Bobbie how fun to show off all your trees! Love the Santa and pearl strips.
