Making Calendars

Julie, I'll have to check Kinko's. I didn't do that. My cartridges are only $15 each, but I have no idea what each page costs. I use brochure paper, rather than cardstock.

I bought these Penny Springmann templates for $2.45 from Sweet Shoppe Designs. They were designed for 5x7, but I tweaked them. There were several options, different orientations and masks and fonts. It was a wonderful bargain.

Thanks Beth. I'll try to remember that for next year. That is an excellent price.

Very pretty, Beth! thanks for showing them. I want to do a calendar that size for downstairs where I don't normally write appointments on the dates. I like the way there is the fading into the mottled backgrounds.

I have made calendars for my son and MIL for years for Christmas. CS used to have a set of pages that had the squares for the dates. You fill in the rest. I think I'm running out of them. But HL has a white page like it. Not as good of paper, but I figure I can trim it down and mount it on some sturdy stuff. Rollabind for putting it together. I am usually scrambling in December to get them made. "But not this year!" Really I swear every year I'm going to work on them early and poof - it's December! I'd like to make one for each of my grandkids to hang in their rooms. Those would be 8 1/2 x 11 and you can go on-line and find spots to print the pages - either vertical or horizontal. Tell them when to start and when to end and the months/days/year are all done for you. I see the ones they make at Snapfish and it is tempting. but with all my supplies, I'd better be making them myself!
I did like seeing how everyone does it. Got some good ideas . . . .
