Re: CS Long Island, NY workshop
No, just a tad too far. I went to the one she and Kristen had in Delaware over the summer. Let us know how it is. I'll be curious to hear if Dinah discusses the new forum.
Re: CS Long Island, NY workshop
I had planned on it but then had the whole job loss issue.. They should be having a blast.
Re: CS Long Island, NY workshop
I thoroughly enjoyed the day, there
is something about spending time with
like minded people that totally relaxes me.
We did a group of ALSB pages, with pages
from different kits, using the Idea Deck for
the formulas, a make and take, (the Passport
Portfolia made with the sheet of colassal paper,
just folds, no glue, origami on a large scale)
We did tags with different techniques using the
watercolor crayons, I am going to need to practice
these more, here at home, I tend to over spritz
with water. AND, wonder of wonders, I made a Journal
Book, with sewn signatures, a first for me. For some
reason i always felt intimidated by just the thought
of creating a book using signatures. Not so intimidating,
when you have someone giving you blow by blow
directions (Dinah) I came home feeling very accomplshed.
So, if you ever get a chance to participate in a workshop
I would recommend it

Re: CS Long Island, NY workshop
Those are the same things we did with Dinah here in Sac. They are really good fun - and though the intention is to sign up more crafters, there's really not a huge "pushy" sell at all for it.
I'm hoping to organize another one sorta in this area in the next few months.
