Light fixture

Post by pamcook »

I immediately thought of that bag of wine corks when I saw this light fixture.

Yikes, I hope Pam P. doesn't make that! I think she ended up with them.

Pretty wild, huh? I found that on a blog my daughter follows. Funny how we were talking about driftwood art and this shows up.

Nope, not making that. Going to try my hand at several other projects, though. IF I can slice them without slicing off a finger.

Not my kind of thing, but Pam I would be interested in what you are going to make with the corks. I have been collecting a few (errr maybe more than a few) and no idea what to do with them.

I have a bag full of them also. Still thinking about what to do with them but don't think a light fixture is the way for me to go either.

We made a cork board for our kitchen many years ago. That started the whole saving corks thing because other people saw it and wanted the corks to make one. I guess they didn't drink wine as fast as we did :drunk: We've given bags and bags of them to people but I don't know if they ever made the corkboards.
You could also use the same idea to make hotpads for a table or countertop. There are lots of ideas now online for using them.
And there is a place in NJ that recycles them but we can now take them to our dump to be recycled.

That is some strange light fixture! Not my cup of tea, but a cute idea anyway.
