Some more gifts at work

Post by nchoney »

I just gave a couple more folks here, at work, a little collection of cards. They're over-the-moon happy with them.... and now I can go home and play some more.

The ones with the overlapping shapes are from an idea from either Jennifer McGuire or Kristina Werner... Jennifer, I think... but I can't find the video. I used the Silhouette to cut some simple shapes to use as stencils and then just inked with Distress inks.... super quick.. super easy... but lots of impact

the others are using Hero Arts shadow inks and a shadow rectangle stamp for the background images...

great cards, good use of those old shadow stamps! They were quite the rage many years ago.
They do make for a lovely background.
And I like the ones where you made your own stencils, or as we called them back in the ice ages of stamping "mortise masks".

Wow Debi, each one is a winner! I too have those old shadow stamps and was thinking of them just the other day. They need to be dug out and used again after seeing your awesome cards.

I need to jazz 'em up a little the next time I do it with the stencils... but these still had some wow factor.. LOL

I think they are wonderful as is. But if you want to jazz them up there's always sequins or Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I'm thinking about doing something like that for a scrapbook layout border, too... should be fun!
