Well clever you to actually use photos! Terrific card Jen.

Once you realize how simple the mechanism is of this card the possibilities are endless. The one good thing about Whitlock's files for the huge variety of this style card is that she makes a support for the feature item like the bike on my card. She posted a slew of new ones yesterday.

Okay. I made two more of these "old skool" style. Figured out how to cut that little pop-up box mechanism. And die cut Seahorses are from Cheery Lynn. Stamp from Stampendous. Seaworthy Paper stack from DCWV. Loving this style. Thanks for the tip, Farley.

Oh Jen! I love love this card! I just think seahorse are the most fascinating little creatures and the colors!
I will have to copy this design.

Here's ones I made for my friend Sue's birthday, it's today so if she shows up tonight at our SU club I'll give it to her in person. Otherwise I'll have to mail it.

It's pretty easy... I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdwX7Vp_-xY

to get the idea of the little supports inside. Jennifer made hers different, just a box like you would for a pop-up card.

Otherwise it's a 4 1/4 x 11 sheet of cardstock.
Score at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4 to make the z- fold deal.
Then a piece of cardstock 1 1/4 x 11 for the piece that will have the same score lines but fold opposite direction to form that "box" in the center.
Then you make a little box or support pieces of cardstock to fit inside and glue your stuff to that.

Does that make sense?
I could do a better tutorial but I'm at work

I was determined to find a way to make one without a working machine! Although all Lori's things are pretty cute!! They are pretty simple to do "Old Skool"!!

Love this, Nancy. Those butterflies are perfect and the paper is so soft, I think it looks lovely.

Back to the layouts. Both this one and the one in the sketch thread were inspired by Ashley Horton and Missy Whidden. My two latest faves. All cut on Silhouette using cut files from Ashley. This one is for her Stretch your Sketch challenge. Papers from Amy Tangerine Yes, Please.
