Again, a layout. Not a card. I will get to it, I promise.

I think I must deserve the award for slowest scrapper ever. Anyway, this is the companion page for the layout I submitted last weekI used the positive cutouts from my cut file last week to make the hexagons for this layouts. They were colored with Faded Denim distress ink using the craft sheet and Perfect Pearls spray. Then stamped with stamps from Castaway. The stamps don’t really fit with Boardwalk designs but I work with what I have. This will also qualify for KnitterPam’s NBUS challenge as I hadn’t used the quote stamp, nor several of the others. Thanks for looking.

Your hexagons look professional with the coloring and stamping. Very nice!

So I fired up the Cricut yesterday - couldn't get it to load the paper. Seems the wheels were turning the wrong way like it was done and time to move the paper out instead.
I tried for a wee bit, but did not have the patience to try and troubleshoot the dang thing. Haven't used it in over a year I think.

So I made a box/z-fold card the old fashioned way, LOL

Good for you, Nancy. I was thinking of going this way but I chickened out and bought the cut file. Silly, eh???

I made this layout for PSL using a cut file from Big Picture Classes. I am liking that site more and more.
I guess I should start a separate thread for layouts from cut files since I can't seem to make a card lately.

Nancy you are brilliant! Your card is fabulous. You can very easily make what you started into a pop up box card as well.

Jen, don't worry, keep your LOs coming here. Your cutouts are terrific as is the LO.

I didn't quite get that yours has a part that "pops" up when open Farley. It's the flowers behind the bike?
I'm sure I can figure something out as I've made cards before that that that type of element. Some are called "wiper cards" so I could use that same type of mechanism.

A new machine is not on my horizon at this point - but those SVG cut files are sure appealing!

At long last, I've made a card. Another of Lori Whitlock's files. Now that I've made it on the Silhouette, I can see it will be easy to reproduce the old skool way. As a matter of fact, I didn't use the camera she provided but cut my own from a set of dies from MFT. You may notice I personalized this card with actual photos. Her design didn't mention it but I couldn't see sending a card with blank Polaroids. Thank goodness for Facebook stalking. These are all childhood photos posted by his Mom on FB. Thanks for looking. Papers from a DCWV stack.
