Farley's SVG - Digi Card Invitational

Post by paddlegal »

You may have noticed that I'm on a SVG file card binge. So I'm starting a thread here for anyone who would like to join me in exploring SVG sites and creating with what we find.

Today I found among Lori Whitlock's newest files, 3 card files that I purchased at a reduction of 25% through the weekend. I'm always pleased at how well her files are organized.

http://www.loriwhitlock.com/blog/

I'm guilty of late acquiring a few new scrap pads thanks to Tuesday Morning. This card is Whitlock's "side step" SVG card file and all paper was from Pink Paisley - Hello Sunshine. LOVE this pad of prints and hope to do some scrapping with it also. Only things from stash were the verneer bird and a few enamel dots.

So drag out your Cricket, Silhouette or what ever you have that uses SVG files OR use your digi files and join me here.

What a bright, Summertime card, Farley. I like the "side step" format.

Wow, Farley! I like everything about it.

Wish I could find my veneer birds. I've put all my wood veneers somewhere 'safe'.

Good challenge Farley, and great card! As Kathryn said it's so summery. I'd love to think I'll find time to participate but I'm not holding my breath...

Marianne, your birds must have flown away!

Great idea! I cut out a few and added them to my stash. I'll try to pull out a few this week and use them.
Thanks for the push to use them.

Thanks everyone! I'm looking forward to seeing here what you all cut on your electronic cutters or using digital images for your cards.

I'm also going to make a link list of my favorite SVG sites to post here soon.

Kerri Bradford & Ashley Horton both have some nice files to choose from. Wilna Furstenburg as well, of course.

Thanks Pam! Ashley Horton and the Cut Shoppe I am familiar with though I've never purchased any of those files. I may reconsider now that I'm on a SVG roll. But I wasn't familiar with Kerry Bradford's site and her freebies are fabulous! I can see getting into trouble there. I do have some of Wilna's from a class I took. Her files are lovely.

I'm just curious to see if I'm the only person who sang the song while looking at your card.

Of course, it was my Mom's and Robin's theme song. They were always singing it when Robin was little.

It's such a sweet song. We sang it in grade school.

What a great card Farley! I tend to totally stay away from digi so I probably won't join in but hope to continue to look at submissions here.

I have been itching to fire up the Silhouette so I'm sure I'll offer something. Great cards so far. Thanks for making this challenge.
