Re: photo friday in chat room tonight (PM EST)

Ruth Ann (and everyone): I have a very detailed plan that I've been working out for over a week. I do need for everyone to be out of the chat room starting at 7pm EST, because I will be taking it down temporarily. If all goes well, it will be back up before 9pm, and the chat can happen as scheduled....

Re: PAO Maintenance - REMINDER

Bumping as a reminder. The forum will be updated this Friday evening - 1/9/09 - at 7pm EST. The board will be temporarily disabled while a software upgrade is applied. ** This upgrade is simply a maintenance release, and should not impact how you use the forums. If you notice anything unusual after ...

Re: How can I found out my log in information?

Rinda - after Friday night's maintenance, you shouldn't need to log in to the PAO Homepage separately. Once you're logged in to the forum, you should be able to bounce right over to the homepage and automatically have full member access. So, I would actually recommend to you (and to anyone else) tha...

Re: Paper bead Class January 24, time TBA

Whatever suits you-you're the teacher. :D I'm just letting you know what's available. Anything that's posted on the homepage can be restricted to public or registered users, so if you change your mind about posting the class instructions and videos there (with an embedded chat on the same page), and...

Re: Paper bead Class January 24, time TBA

Luanne - I'm not sure if this is what you envisioned, but the thing I set up for adding tutorials on the homepage has a way to insert multimedia links, so it looks like if you wanted to write up a tutorial and post your video with it on the PAO homepage, that should work. That might make the tutoria...

Re: Attention Swap Hostesses...

So, it sounds like the consensus is that it's a keeper? There are a few settings I can try to muck with that might make the adding items a little easier. But it sounds like you were all able to figure it out without much instruction, which means newbie hostesses should be able to jump in also. Pam -...

Re: Attention Swap Hostesses...

Cool Ruth Ann - thanks for letting me know. And figuring it all out - that's part of why I didn't post more instructions. If it's not really intuitive, people won't use it. So I wanted to see what initial impressions were. And after next weekend's maintenance, you shouldn't need to log in to the hom...

Re: Attention Swap Hostesses...

I went to homepage, attempted login (even tho I'm logged in here already) and my username and password failed (the same I use here)???????????? Ruth Ann - it's SUPPOSED to be the same id and password, yes. So something might have been off with the user sync. I just tried something that might explai...

Attention Swap Hostesses...

I've been doing some work on the home page this weekend, trying to get it ready with some of the new features that have been requested. I found a calendar that I think will serve our purposes fairly well, and I'd love it if you ladies could give it a try. The swap calendar is currently only accessib...

Re: PAO Maintenance

Evening ladies! I wanted to update you on the maintenance schedule. According to my calendar, next weekend looks like it will be a good time for me to do the software upgrade for the forum. I'm not sure how much down time will be involved, if any. You may not notice much more than a hiccup, or you m...

Re: PSL

Hi ladies - I'm not looking to burst anyone's bubble here, because I'm all about PAO challenges. But let me just point out a few things, strictly from my point of view, to keep in mind. 1. This kind of a challenge would need to be organized and managed by a group of volunteers. I'm happy to do site ...

Re: Updating Last Visit

Marianne - I have a lot of problems when I'm bouncing my logins between admin and my other self. ;-) I can't get the "view new posts" to work right at all when I do that. I have to completely clear the browser cache for it to behave properly. But if I do the login automatically each visit ...

PAO Maintenance - REMINDER

**Edited to remind everyone that maintenance will start this Friday evening - 1/9/09 - at 7pm EST. The board will be temporarily disabled while an upgrade is applied. ** Hi all! I have a couple of maintenance announcements for you. For starters, I have a note from the host that a maintenance update...

Luanne, You are so full of ideas that I can't keep up. It's a great idea and I'll definitely look into it when I have the chance.
