Re: 30 years in the making…

It's beautiful! I have a feeling that quilting is something I'm going to pick up sooner or later. But I'm mostly interested in putting together tops. I'd have to send everything off to be quilted. I don't have the patience to do it by hand, and if I tried to push it through my regular machine I'd pr...

Re: sketch inspiration to share

I loved Laurie's take on sketch 4, and found a couple of photos that I thought would work. And then it dawned on me that this was a perfect sketch for a 6x6 pad. So I did it. It's very different from my usual sketch choices, but I like how it turned out.

Echo Park sale

I know I shouldn't. But shoot - these prices are REALLY good! I'm even tempted to buy a whole bunch of 6x6 pads, those little buggers have been a source of annoyance so often that I don't know what I'm thinking. https://echoparkoutlet.com/ Anyway, I'm afraid I'm going to have to jump on this. There ...

Re: sketch inspiration to share

Love your take on that last sketch Laurie! I struggle with what feels like weird whitespace for no reason, so I liked your layout better than the original sketch.

Re: Simple Stories Warehouse Box

Thanks for the heads up on the warehouse box Pam! I went and looked, and I love that they actually named the collections that would be in the box. That helps significantly. A surprise is always super fun, but Valentine's Day and Easter collections rarely get used in my scrapbooks, and my years of re...

Re: sketch inspiration to share

Keitha - that sketch caught my eye but it's a little outside of what I usually gravitate to, so I didn't pick it. But you NAILED it. I love everything about it. Laurie- I just got done assembling a Scrapbook Generation kit that featured that collection, and I really had fun with it. It's such a brig...

Re: Covid ++++

Glad to hear that you're doing OK, but sorry you're having to deal with it at all, especially having been so very careful for so long. It's exhausting, I know. Even with the whole house vaccinated and almost all of us boosted, we're still worried that Rob and I, being overweight and probably not con...

That’s an older Webster’s Pages paper. Isn’t it pretty?
Yep! Hollywood Vogue. I used to hoard my WP paper, but now I swear it multiplies!

Re: sketch inspiration to share

Laurie - I think you nailed it with the stencil - nice job! Here is one more for the day. It's inspired by the very last sketch. Nicole works for American Eagle (she started her senior year in HS, but stayed on staff even after she left for college). She loves modeling new stock for the store's Inst...

Re: sketch inspiration to share

This is just what I needed today! I have been on a scrapping tear lately too, but I needed some fresh inspiration. New sketches are always a good kick start for me. I had three photos laying out with a single piece of paw print paper for my next page, and one of the sketches in your third post was j...

Great layout! That kit was one of my favorites. I bought at least double the paper, and used it for an entire album of a trip to Montana.

OMG these are all so fun! I came to check in today before I dug in and started working on some layouts, but I might get my stamps out and play instead - I love all of these!

Re: 2021 Christmas

What fun backgrounds! I've received a few kits from Scrapbook Generation that look similar once put together, and then I just pull them out months (or years) later and just lay the photos down. I love those days when I can use pre-made layouts and just whip through a pile of photos. The only problem...
