Re: So What Do You Do?

Further comments on stamp organizing/purging: The thought of tackling all my stamps seemed a bit intimidating, so I'm not doing it all at once. Most of my UM/stamp sets are in 3 bins on my Ikea shelf; I'm doing a bin at a time, with days in between. Along with the purging I'm reorganizing: at some p...

Re: So What Do You Do?

Stamps: I'm in the process of purging mine; I'm not thinking about the money spent over the years, or how much or not they've been used. I can see that even stamps change styles over time, and it's been easier than I thought to decide if a stamp or set is something I should keep or not. I'm also kee...

Re: So What Do You Do?

Pam P, I think we've all been there. If I get as far as pulling together photos and papers I walk away and come back later/tomorrow - I try not to abandon a started page. Did that today actually; was very excited about a layout I saw online so ordered the papers so I could replicate it. Put them on ...

March challenge

Is there a post this month, for the Christmas 2023 challenge? I'm not on FB a lot and don't pay much attention to the posts there.

Throwing Axes

We went axe-throwing for Cameron's last birthday, something most of us had never done before. He turned 19 which is the legal drinking age here, hence the photo of he and his mom with the beers. Given the set-up, most of the photos are of people's backs, but I wanted to scrap more than just the grou...

Re: Scraplifting Keitha

Ah, thanks Pam (and Monica). Love your scraplift! I was at the optometrist this morning and read that a frog closes its eyes while swallowing. A Google fact check came up with this: "The bulging eyes of most frogs allow them to see in front, to the sides, and partially behind them. When a frog ...

cruising ducks

Not sure if anyone is familiar with the practice of cruising ducks; there's plenty of info online if you're curious. My ducks have been patiently waiting in a cupboard since my aborted cruise at the start of the pandemic; the destination was The Bahamas - which is why I chose flamingos, their nation...

feeling lucky

One more family page. No sketch; just pushed pieces around until I was happy with it. Feels like a Shimelle-inspired page; truthfully not my favourite approach. Although my rainbow has green beer and not a pot of gold at the end of it, in a nod to rainbows everywhere I did add some gold splatters.

working from page kits

Had a scrappy visit with a friend a few days ago who lives a couple hours away. I optimistically packed up four page kits; HA - we spent so much time talking and eating I didn't even finish one layout there. As a break from travel pages, I picked some random family photos that I've been meaning to s...

Brave and Strong

A Not Just For Boys page kit that I modified somewhat for these photos from Alaska. Don't think I'd have paired the Lumberjack embellishment pack with the Camping papers, but the pops of red work well. Abstained from adding a title with all the wordy ephemera, and decided I had no journaling to add ...

Pam, your card is very pretty. I'm glad you persevered, and that the ATG tape worked!
