Re: sketch inspiration to share

I love all of your latest posts on this thread Laurie! I think I have all of those same collections and I love how you used them.

Pam - I love your layouts too!

Re: Heads Up, Julie!

Thanks everyone! I need to spend the weekend figuring out a new outlook for my 50s, and trying to find joy. The last several years (even before Covid) were kind of a struggle. Coming back to scrapbooking is definitely part of that refresh.

Re: sketch inspiration to share

Beautiful page Laurie - your paper colors really make the bamboo pop! I want to do that sketch, but I don't have anything queued up where I just have two photos.

Re: Sketch Inspiration take 2

Here's one I did with #8 - Nicole's graduation. Sorry some of the photos were hard to see. We were seated on the wrong side, adn too far away from the stage to get decent pictures. Luckily, Nicole's great aunt and uncle watched the live stream, and grabbed some screen shots as she crossed the stage,...

Re: Sketch Inspiration take 2

Awesome! Thanks Monica. I think the next few rounds of photos I need to scrap will require double page spreads, so thanks for those. Now I need to get to work.

Re: sketch inspiration to share

You're on a roll Laurie! Way to go! I took a break from working with photos this week, and have been trying to figure out ways to use some of the supplies that I've had forever. So I've been assembling collections of papers from different designers/manufacturers and trying to make some generic empty...

Re: sketch inspiration to share

Love it Laurie! I am 100% a wine drinker, and I would be all about that experience! But I can totally relate. Rob and I did a cognac tasting one time, because we thought it would be entertaining. And probably the only way in our lives we could taste a cognac that came out of a $500 bottle for just a...

Re: In search of...

I have actually tried that Elizabeth. There are very few of those sketches that I even like anymore, and when I've tried them with paper I have, it was a disaster. I don't know if it has to do with large scale (typically) of the club scrap print, but a lot of those large cuts - using small sca...

You all know I love a good sketch. And I loved ALSB back in the day, and I really loved the Scrapbook Generation Super Saver kit club. The appeal of ALSB and the SS kit wasn't just the sketches - it was the cutting diagrams that used 4-6 sheets of patterned paper, and used them across 6-8 pages to m...

So cool! Love it. Those kinds of projects are way out of my comfort zone, but they sure are lovely.

Re: Echo Park sale

I'm sorry Pam! I shopped this sale with thoughts about what I'm likely to be scrapping over the next 3-4 years, and honestly, I don't see how it won't be a repeat of the last 3-4. Nicole won't be home much anymore, so super girly stuff won't get used that much. I'll use summer/vacation/pool party ty...

Re: Echo Park sale

I caved. Spent about $80, taking advantage of 10 paper packs for $50 to start. And the 6x6 pads were only $2.50 each for four or more. I also threw in some ephemera. I really love Echo Park and Carta Bella, so this is going to be a really fun package to get.
